Shepherd Moons is a rock band founded in
1974. The music mixes elements from a lot of different styles. The band is a

The legendary poet Sappho lived on the Greek
island Lesbos in the 6th century B.C. at the time of Buddha and
the old testament. She is considered the first female poet and one of the
most influential writers in the world equal to Shakespeare and Homer. The
choir work LESBOS is build on 5 of her most famous poems with new music by
H.W. Gade. LESBOS is a meditative travel in the emotional landscapes of love,
beautiful, yet unsentimental and fresh. One of the greatest love poets ever. Read more about the lady with the “sweet

Heinrich von Morungen was a German knight and
troubadour, who lived in Thüringen around year 1200. His love ballads are among
the finest love songs ever written in German, inspiring later poets like
Walther von der Vogelweide, Heine and Goethe. The texts, in their original
Middle High Medieval German language, were set to new music in 1989, and are
now available live as a Theatre Concert with soloists and choir. |

Nis
Petersens tekster med musik af H.W. Gade i den særlige "Nis Petersen
stil", som Gade har skabt specielt til den store digter, udgør deres
egen lille niche i dansk visetradition og har glædet mange viseelskere i
Danmark og Sverige igennem de 30 år, komponisten og hans solister har
turneret med sangene. I 2005 udkom samtlige komponistens viser med tekst af Nis Petersen på 3 plader, vol. I til III. Blandt de kendteste er ”Kit in memoriam”, ”De små børns smil” og ”Café ”Det røde Hjerte”. Et opsamlingsalbum med det bedste af sangene udkom i 2006. |
