NYHED Et Mysteriespil
Et hovedværk i tysk
middelalderlitteratur Den tyske digter Hartmann von Aue skrev omkring 1190 vers-dramaet ”Der
arme Heinrich”.
Lesbos (Sappho)
Sappho – the Tenth Muse The period between 600 to 500 years B.C. was one of
the most important phases in the history of the humans. Several new religions
and spiritual movements were born almost at the same time including the
Jewish Old Testament, Buddhism and the teachings of Socrates and Plato. The
young Greek nation saw the making of a civilized culture with a written
history, splendid temples, highly skilled art, poetry and music. Athens and
Sparta played the main parts in this process, but an important other player
was a small island, Lesbos, near the Turkish coast. On this
island lived a songwriter and poet, Sappho, in the early 6th century B.C. As
an extremely talented well educated, intelligent woman of a wealthy family,
Sappho was destined to fulfil the role of a national Lesbian poet, writing
religious hymns and epic poems like Homer did 2 hundred years before on the
mainland of Greece. Sappho did eventually write in all these traditional
genres. But she also did something very strange – she wrote about herself,
and thus changed the course of poetry forever. l On tour l Next: 2008,

Swastika
Fighting the Devil In 1909, an unknown tramp in Vienna, entered a
Museum to look at the remains of a strange old spear, famous for its dark and
destructive powers. The tramp wanted to steal the spear and become the master
devil himself. But to steal the spear, he would have to steal Germany first.
And so Adolf Hitler did. The rock
opera Swastika is the story of the sufferings of Hitler's victims, and of the
persistent fight against the evil powers, eventually leading to the victory
of the Good side. And the atomic bomb. A classic rock opera, originally
written in 1974, now in a totally revised version from 1999 with three new
scenes. l On tour l Next: 2012, Denmark |

Morungen
Lieder
800 Years Is No Age Love has so many names. It
disguises itself behind many faces and bodies. Every language and every age
has its own way of telling the story. One of the greatest love poets of
Germany is Heinrich von Morungen. He lived in the late 1100-ies and wrote
just a few texts. But these words have been the envy and inspiration of his
fellow poets ever since. Heinrich
von Morungen wrote in the official style of the Minne tradition, but he
turned the clichés into real life, pervaded with anger, sorrow and deep, true
love to his Lady, “known to me since we were children”. The readers of our
days will embrace his words across a distance of 800 years. Because in the
case of Morungen, 800 years is no age - his poetry is still alive and
kicking. l On tour l Next: 2009,

Nis Petersen
"Sandalmagerens gade", men huskes nok bedst i dag for sin lyrik.
Nis Petersens digte rummer både korte, enkle vers og lange prosadigte. Nis’
bedre end nogen anden dansk digter.
læsere af Danmarks store, glemte digter, Nis Petersen. l På turné hvert år i Danmark (in Danish) |

Frozen Positions

London and Cambridge. Frozen in chaotic snapshots; Charleston, New Look, Cold
War, the Marxist Movements, the fall of the Berlin Wall, a new Europe. But
not necessarily in that order! Unlimited Freedom of Music. The eternal band of
the many names. Always 24 years old, always together for 3 years. Timeless in
the new fashion. Kissed by the Muses and persecuted by the art commissioners
of the ages. Freedom and Eternity. l On tour l Next: 2008, Denmark (+Burning Lands) |
Stella
A Mind Twisting The one act funk opera Stella travels from ancient Rome

solar systems, populated with intelligent humanoid and dinosaur species.
Finally the audience is "beamed" away into year 3714 on Isis, now a
tolerant Matriarchy with time travels and telepathy. A cosmic

granted in this moving and surprising science fiction funk opera. l On tour l Next: 2009, Denmark |

Hymn to Beauty (Baudelaire)
Flowers from Baudelaire The French poet and art critic Charles Baudelaire,
who lived in the middle of the 19th century in Paris, is world
famous for his long cycle of poems ”The flowers of Evil”. Baudelaire is
considered one of the founders of modern poetry and radically breaks with the
form and contents of classical French poetry. Jesper Morville and H.W. Gade have chosen 6 of the most famous poems
from the collection to a Baudelaire cabaret that had its first night at the
Café Theatre in Copenhagen 1979. The original poems in French are now
included together with new English translations of the poems by William A.

Rococo
The Queen and The
French queen Marie Antoinette and her husband, king Louis the 16th, both
ended their days under “the National razor”, the guillotine. Was it a just punishment
or a tragic judicial Murder? The rock operetta Rococo has no simple answers.
The fall of the Monarchy and the subsequent birth of the French Revolution
Are portrayed with black humour. A grand show for over 40 actors with catchy
tunes and revolting texts, dance, choirs and historical dresses in abundance. To cut it short; it’s a sharp challenge.
And really truly exciting to participate in, unless of course, you loose your
head! l Not scheduled |
Det forsømte
forår
En af de største
musical succeser i Danmark Musical versionen af Det forsømte forår, dramatiseret af Tonny
Biilgreen, H.W.
spillet over 500 gange. Den regnes i dag for en klassiker. “Forestillingen går rapt og muntert over scenen. Satiren over skolens
terror og børns urimelige føjelighed kommer storartet slagfærdigt over rampen
